Research Interests

My main interest is working on the emotion dysregulation model to elucidate the role of emotion intensity and regulation in mood and anxiety disorders, particularly generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and major depression disorder (MDD), since these two disorders show high comorbidity rates. I also have an interest in informant discrepancies and how they affect research designs and clinical practice.

To study these areas of interest, I rely primarily on experimental studies using a multi-method, multi-informant approach to model the complexity of emotional processes. I typically utilize psychophysiological measurements, such as heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), skin conductance, respiration rate, and electromyographic activity (EMG).

My clinical interests include the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders as well as personality disorders. I am currently a protocol clinician for an open trial for Emotion Regulation Therapy (ERT) for GAD.

I am also interested in statistical analysis and work as a statistics consultant.
